Yeah, that stealthy approach of theirs lets them drop the hammer on new players. My first wolf encounter happend while I was "talking" to the guard outside of Ashford Abbey - total surprise. It was very satisfying going back there to tame one, a short time later.

For my survivor, hydras in Ascalon. I was walking with a guy and he was fighting. I was standing out of battle. Next thing I know I'm lagging and then dead. ._.

I dont like the survivor title. <.<

On my necromancer, might have been the traps in the necromancer quest in pre-searing, or just a grawl or something... can't remember. Still haven't died on my survivor mesmer, but I'm not doing it seriously so... if I die, won't matter. (If I die close my next rank into it, might be different though x]).

post searing..feb 05 beta..was running with a buddy through pre-sear and took them post. (2 rangers).... post searing did not act/look at all like it does now. Walked out the door...was on my way to sardelac sanitarium (it looked more like a wizard's tower then).... we ran into the ranger grawl boss and friends... it wasn't pretty at all.

My very first death happened while I was out playing with a friend in Pre-Sear... The friend that introduced me to the game actually.

Anyhoo, he went out, and said "See the bull over there? Try to kill it..." This was about 10 minutes after I started playing, and I thought it would anihiliate my character for all time.

Lucky for me though, he was showing me how his res sig worked.

My first survivor's "first death" was *stupidly on my part* a death in the ascalon arena XD

My last "first death," which was on my current war" was by a scorched seed and devourer "mini-mob" while I was running myself to piken. Was during a lag >.<

My current survivor *para*has yet to die, and I plan to go as long as possible without dieing till I have the FoW armor and Tormented weps I want on him, then i'll find some wacky way to die, and record it. ^^

On my 1st character it was with Rurik when we 1st see Charr, during the Charr at the Gates quest, that was me as wammo n00bsauce running in to "help" lvl 20 Rurik with my lvl 3ness getting pwnd

This is what happened to me, back in 2005, on my first character(W/x). I made my Ranger the same week, and I still hadn't figured it out, but my pet took care of the trap(poor unnamed Melandru's Stalker, R.I.P.).
